At the center of the New Mexico Bull Fiesta is one extraordinary woman: Nancy Burch — a horsewoman, visionary, and beloved pillar of the Angel Fire community. For over 40 years, Nancy has been guiding riders through the mountains of northern New Mexico as the founder of Roadrunner Tours LLC, known for its scenic horseback trail rides, winter sleigh adventures, and authentic Western hospitality. What she’s built isn’t just a business — it’s a living piece of New Mexico’s heritage.
Nancy has always done more than just lead horses — she’s led a movement. From local families to rodeo champions, everyone who’s been lucky enough to work with her knows: she brings out the best in people and the best in Angel Fire. Her generosity is legendary. Her work ethic is unmatched. And her passion for keeping the Western way of life alive is why this event exists.
In 2024, with the same grit and grace that’s defined her life, Nancy launched the first-ever New Mexico Bull Fiesta. What started with her personal land, livestock, time, and resources quickly turned into a full-blown rodeo revival — one fueled by community pride, cowboy culture, and Nancy’s unmatched dedication.
